I've finally gotten around to playing with the rest of the images I shot on our recent trip to the beach. This series with Winslow and his monsters was a lot harder to narrow down than my images of Jane from the same trip, and I'm still not 100% sure I've got the right cut here. (I think I just got lucky with the photos of Jane because I only had a few shots of her to begin with, so I didn't have to do much culling.)
I always find it a challenge to distinguish the good photos from the ones that I simply wish were good. If I edit photos too soon after I’ve shot them, often I think that all of them are awesome. The problem here is that this series includes two of my favourite things: a gorgeous golden sunset, and some pretty great glittery bokeh ... So I'm finding it a little bit harder than usual to be objective. I hope you'll forgive me if some of the shots here might be a little bit on the similar side.
My goal is that Winslow's journey will span many locations, and many seasons, so these blog posts are merely a preliminary edit of Winslow's story. I imagine it will become easier to narrow things down as the series' collection grows. (At least, that is my hope!)
For now, here's an abundance of glowy, glittery sunset pictures of Winslow and his monsters bravely fording the treacherous beaches of Lake Ontario.
