One of the things I struggled with as I was learning photography was how to take the majesty of a sprawling coastal landscape or a sun-dappled forest and fit it all inside the tiny frame of my camera sensor. After many boring and generic landscape shots that just didn't capture the magic I was looking for, I discovered that for me, photography is really all in the details. Not shooting the forest itself, but focussing on the trees.
Or, in this case, the leaves.
I never really realized how much I enjoy photographing leaves, but it turns out I have quite the collection in my image library. Not just colourful autumn leaves, but vibrant green summer leaves, rain-covered leaves, and other assorted greenery. I suppose it makes a fair bit of sense for a girl who loves spending her time wandering about through forests.
Speaking of forests ... I really need to visit one again soon!
